2011 WAEC NOVEMBER/DECEMBER EXAMINATION RESULTS HAVE BEEN RELEASED
Developing News: More than 40 percent of the 404,863 candidates who wrote the 2011<br />November/December<br />West African Senior<br />School Certificate<br />Examination (WASSCE), scored credit passes in five subjects, including<br />English and mathematics. Head of the Nigerian National Office, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, who announced the results yesterday at the WAEC Headquarters in Yaba, Lagos, said 176,848 candidates,<br />representing 45.62 per cent made the benchmark for admission into universities. He said the results are better compared to last year’s where only 20.04 per cent of the 309,431<br />candidates that sat for the examination reached the same benchmark.
