LASU Post UTME 2012<br /><br />The Lagos State University LASU is inviting candidates who chose LASU as their first and/or second choice and scored at least 200 in UTME 2011 to register for post UTME screening. Sales of LASU post UTME registration fee closes on August 19, 2011, while registration closes on August 26, 2011. The fee is N1,000. APPLICATION<br />Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the Lagos State University 2011/2012 Post UTME Screening Test, for candidates seeking admission via UTME (100 level). This screening test is mandatory requirement for entry into Lagos State University.<br /><br />2. ELIGIBILITY:<br /><br />(i) ONLY candidates who have chosen Lagos State University as their First or Second Choice of institution, in the June 2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME), and have scored a minimum of 200 marks are eligible. Priority will be given to candidates who have chosen LASU as first choice. Candidates who made LASU their Second Choice will only be considered for Supplementary Admission. In addition, candidates must be at least 16 years of age.<br /><br />(ii) ALL Direct Entry candidates who wish to be considered for admission into Lagos State University for the 2011/2012 academic session and must have obtained Direct Entry Form from JAMB are also eligible and must apply. However, these category of applicants are EXEMPTED from Post-UTME test. Online registration is compulsory.<br /><br />(iii) Candidates of Lagos State origin for 100 & 200 levels will be required to prove their claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) set up by the Lagos State University.<br /><br />(iv) Candidates should note that ONLY the courses listed below are available for the 2011/2012 session. Therefore, only candidates that have chosen any of the underlisted courses as either FIRST or SECOND CHOICE should apply. (Follow source for underlisted courses)<br /><br />3. METHOD OF APPLICATION<br /><br />Applicants are required to pay into LASU Account Number(s), a non-refundable fee of N1000.00 (One Thousand Naira) ONLY to SELECTED branches of the following banks: (Follow source for details of banks)<br /><br />Applicants should note that they are to collect a LASU VOUCHER from the designated banks on payment of their Screening Test fees. Note also, that the LASU Post-UTME Voucher has a special design on it with the inscription 2011/2012 LASU POST UTME VOUCHER.<br /><br />Deadline for the payment of application fees is Friday, 19th August 2011 and registration closes Wednesday, 24th August 2011.<br /><br />4. REGISTRATION FOR SCREENING TESTS<br /><br />Procedure<br />Candidates are expected to register for the screening tests online (Internet). The form is available on the following LASU website ‘www.lasunigeria.org’. Access to the registration portal is through LASU Post UTME/DE voucher.<br /><br />Candidates are ADVISED TO CAREFULLY STUDY THE O' LEVEL REQUIREMENTS AND SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR THE COURSES THEY INTEND TO APPLY FOR, AS CONTAINED IN THE JAMB BROCHURE FOR 2011/2012, BEFORE REGISTERING AS THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.<br /><br />False information provided by any candidate shall be detected by the special LASU software application designed for such purpose.
