Post UTME 2011: FUT Minna Federal University of Technology Minna

This is to inform all candidates who have applied for admission into the Federal University of Technology, Minna for the 2011/2012 academic session that the Post-UTME screening exercise will commence on Monday 15th August, 2011 at the University Main Campus, Gidan-kwano.<br /><br />Follow Post UTME 2012 updates.<br /><br />1. Eligibility <br />                                                     <br />i. Only candidates who selected the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna as their first or second choice University are eligible for this screening exercise. <br /><br />ii. Candidates expected to register for this screening exercise are those who scored NOT LESS than the indicated minimum for various Schools/Courses/Programmes in the June, 2011 UTME (Follow the source link for details):<br /><br />iii. Candidates whose UTME score is below the minimum for their chosen course are eligible to register for any other course provided they attain the minimum score for that course.<br /><br />iv. However, all candidates must have the prescribed subject combinations in the UTME required for admission into the proposed course/programme as prescribed in the JAMB brochure. <br /><br />v. Direct Entry candidates must possess an Ordinary National Diploma or Higher National Diploma with Lower Credit (minimum) or National Certificate of Education with Merit (minimum) from Federal Government approved Polytechnics/Monotechnics/Colleges of Education. Candidates with GCE ‘A/Level’ or  IJMB ‘A/Level’ must possess  minimum of two  subjects at credit passes or five points respectively.<br /><br />vi. All candidates must possess a minimum of five O/Level credits including Mathematics and English language in WASCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses and  obtained not earlier than 2007. For list of relevant subjects for each course/programme please click on  “O/level subjects requirement for courses/programmes”  <br />NOTE:  Any false declaration could lead to a candidate’s   disqualification at any stage of the admission process.  ess. <br /><br />2. Method of Registration<br />  <br />i. All candidates must either possess a valid e-mail address or create one for the purpose of the online registration for the screening exercise.<br /><br />ii. Candidates should go to any of the following designated Banks (First Bank Plc., UBA Plc., Union Bank Plc., Oceanic Bank Plc., Bank PHB Plc., Intercontinental Bank Plc., Guarantee Trust Bank Plc., Zenith Bank Plc.) and pay to “FUTMINNA POST – UTME ACCOUNT”  through e-Tranzact platform at the cost of ₦1,000.00 (excluding bank charges) only.<br /><br />iii. The Bank will issue a receipt containing a receipt number and Confirmation order number which will be used by the candidate for the on-line registration. <br /><br />iv. Candidates are directed to visit the  homepage of the University website: www.futminna.edu.ng   for details on the procedure for on-line registration, requirements for the screening exercise and other general information.<br /><br />Note:  Candidates are strongly advised to commence registration immediately as the University website will be closed for registration at midnight of Saturday 13th August, 2011. <br /><br />5. Requirements for the Screening Exercise<br /><br />All eligible candidates are required to come on the scheduled date to the Convocation Arena at the University Main Campus at Gidan-kwano along MinnaBida road with the following: <br /><br />i. A clean copy of   2011/2012 – UTME result (UTME candidates only) <br />ii. Evidence of JAMB registration (IJMB candidates only).  <br />iii. The printed 2011 Post-UTME scheduling slip affixed with a recent coloured passport photograph. <br />iv. A writing material (biro or pencil).  <br />v. A simple calculator (non-programmable) without cover.<br /><br />6. General Information <br /><br />i. No candidate will be allowed to participate in the screening exercise without complying with the above requirements. <br />ii. The Main Campus at Gidan Kwano along Minna-Bida road is about 20 kms away from the Bosso Campus of the University which is inside Minna town. Candidates without personal vehicles may board commercial buses at the rate of N50 at the Bus Park inside the Bosso Campus of the University.  <br />iii. Candidates are not allowed to bring GSM handsets or similar electronic gadgets into the screening hall. Such item(s) will  be seized and will not be returned to the owners. <br />iv. Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught impersonating will be handed over to the law enforcement agents. 6 <br />v. Any registered candidate who fails to report for the screening exercise on the date specified on the print-out automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission. <br />vi. The screening exercise shall be computer based. <br />vii. Candidates are advised to arrive at the convocation arena at the Main Campus, Gidan Kwano on the scheduled date for the screening exercise at least one hour prior to the scheduled time.  <br />viii.
