Our long term vision is to remain Nigeria's preferred operator, promoting the nation's economy through our various activities, and all the while contributing positively to the sustainable development of its communities.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />As a subsidiary of TOTAL, the fourth largest multi-national group worldwide, we receive solid support from our Group, and can draw from its vast pool of technical expertise and experience<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Job Title: Contracts Engineer (10021632)<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Contract : permanent position <br /> <br />Branch : Exploration Production<br /> <br />Location : Nigeria - Nigeria<br /> <br />Interviews will take place in : Port-Harcourt & Lagos<br /> <br />Starting date : As soon as possible<br /> <br />Salary : According to profile and experience<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Job Description<br /> ? ?Carries out contracting process (from strategy formulation to contract award) in accordance with Company rules.<br />? ?Ensures own contracts are drafted in accordance with approved model contracts and contributes to periodic review of same.<br />? ?Ensures that own contracts are created and managed through the appropriate medium.<br />? ?Ensures effective use of tools and systems for optimum productivity.<br />? ?Contributes during negotiation either for dispute resolution/contractual exception and claim settlement or for generating savings.<br />? ?Maintains a log of all savings generated for own contracts and obtains validation of such savings.<br />? ?Manages a network of Vendors and relationship with relevant Stake holders. <br />? ?Appropriates the Total Group initiatives such as Frame Agreements, e-procurement etc, to contracts in own domain.<br />? ?Assist head of section in coaching of younger Contracts Engineers<br />? ?Carries out any other duties that may be assigned to him from time to time<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Required skills<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Education<br /> ? A degree in Engineering, Management Sciences or Law (with minimum Second Class Honours).<br /> <br />Experience<br /> ? A minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Chain in an oil industry environment, Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent.<br /> <br />Skills<br /> ? Good IT skills<br />? Good interpersonal and communication skills<br />?
